The Path of Michael Rainer

Wing Chun Instructor • Austrian National Instructor • Lineage Holder

"I had finally found the depth of Wing Chun that I had been searching for in vain for a long time."

The
Turning Point

Since his earliest childhood, Michael was fascinated by martial arts. His journey began with boxing and Taiji Quan, leading to Shotokan Karate and Kickboxing by age 15. Although he trained with high-level instructors and began teaching, he felt a persistent void.

In 2011, everything changed when he met Sifu Sergio P. Iadarola. From their first contact, Sifu Sergio transmitted more depth in two days than Michael had experienced in fifteen years. Through deep research into Wing Chun’s origins, his training expanded exponentially into Yang Taiji, Emei 12 Zhuang, Fujian White Crane, and Tang Yik Weng Chun.

The Early Search

Fascinated by martial arts since childhood, Michael's journey commenced with the fundamentals of boxing and the fluid mechanics of Taiji Quan.

Age 15

Striking Foundations

Progressed into the highly physical realms of Shotokan Karate and Kickboxing, training with high-level instructors to build his external combat attributes.

2005

Sharing Knowledge

Began his career as a martial arts instructor. Despite his technical proficiency and teaching status, he continued to feel a persistent void in his practice.

2011

The Catalyst

A defining moment occurred upon meeting Sifu Sergio P. Iadarola. In just two days of contact, Michael received more structural and internal depth than in his previous fifteen years of training combined.

Present

Mastery & Lineage

Engaged in deep, continuous research into Wing Chun's origins. His mastery now encompasses Yang Taiji, Emei 12 Zhuang, Fujian White Crane, and the ancient Tang Yik Weng Chun systems.

The Revelation

The "5th Gear"

Michael's approach to martial arts fundamentally shifted after encountering authentic internal transmission. The realization of internal mechanics over external, attribute-based fighting reshaped his entire pedagogy and understanding of the human structure.

A Found Depth

"I had finally found the depth of Wing Chun that I had been searching for in vain for a long time. The connection between mind, intent, and physical structure was finally made clear."

“Imagine driving a car for 30 years in 1st gear, and suddenly discovering there are five.”
