Beginners' Approach: Huang Shen Shyan Method
Beginners start with the Huang Shen Shyan Taijiquan, a style focused on inner-release and rebounding force from the ground—often referred to as melting man technology. This method helps students learn primary Jin (internal power) methods of the Yang style, emphasizing ground connection and the development of flowing energy.
Advanced Practice: Classical Yang Family Methods
As students progress, they move on to the Classical Inner Door Yang Family Methods, which involve the mobilization of Qi and Jin through complex mechanics, including the use of the Dan Tien (energy center). This stage focuses on cultivating deeper internal energy flow and strength.
Weapon Training: The Extension of the Arms
In the later stages of training, students will learn that weapons are simply extensions of the arms. Through the practice of the sword, saber, and long pole, students will gain deeper insight into Taijiquan’s martial applications and internal principles.
